Sertraline Doses
Doses of Sertraline could be different for different patients.
Also, the number of capsules or tablets that you take depends on
the strength of the medicine and the medical problem for which you
are taking Sertraline. Oral dosage forms (capsules or tablets) include
25 mg, to 50
mg, 100 mg and up to a maximum
of 200 mg.

more than the recommended dose of this medicine, contact your local
poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Sertraline Overdose
Any medication taken in excess can have serious consequences. An
overdose of Sertraline can be fatal. If you suspect an overdose,
seek medical attention immediately.
Common symptoms of Sertraline overdose include:
- agitation
- dizziness
- nausea
- rapid heartbeat
- sleepiness
- tremor
- vomiting
Other possible symptoms include:
- coma
- stupor
- fainting
- convulsions
- delirium
- hallucinations
- mania
- high or low blood pressure
- slow, rapid, or irregular heartbeat
Sertraline Overdose: Treatment
Contact your local poison control center
or emergency room immediately! Ensure an adequate airway,
oxygenation and ventilation. Monitor cardiac rhythm and vital signs.
